The Bulls intend to sign small forward Alfonzo McKinnie to a second 10-day contract via the hardship exemption, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
McKinnie, 29, is 6-foot-7 and has appeared in two games with the Bulls, averaging 4.0 points. Before that, he was with the Mexico City Capitanes of the G League. He averaged 24.3 points and shot 43 percent on 3-pointers in the G League
His last full NBA season came with the Lakers, when he appeared in 39 games last year and averaged 3.1 points.
McKinnie has also spent time with the Cavaliers (2019-20), Warriors (2018-19) and Raptors (2017-18). Overall, he has played 165 games in the NBA.
The Bulls (18-10) are coming off a win over the Lakers, a game in which McKinnie played 17 minutes.
