The Trail Blazers are signing forward/center Reggie Perry to a 10-day contract via the hardship exception, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Perry, 21, is 6-foot-8 and has been playing for Raptors 905 of the G League, where he has averaged 19.7 points and 10.1 rebounds.
He appeared in 26 games with the Nets last season as a rookie, averaging 3.0 points.
The Trail Blazers have multiple players in the protocol at this writing, including Robert Covington, Ben McLemore, Dennis Smith Jr. and Cody Zeller.
That list also includes coach Chauncey Billups, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Assistant Scott Brooks will coach the Blazers in Billups’ absence, Wojnarowski added.
