The Suns intend to sign guard/forward M.J. Walker to a 10-day hardship contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Walker, 23, is a 6-foot-5 rookie who went undrafted out of Florida State. He had been playing for G League’s Westchester Knicks, New York’s affiliate. In 13 games with Westchester, he is averaging 10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
Walker becomes the Suns’ second hardship signing, joining Emanuel Terry.
The Suns have four players in health and safety protocols — Deandre Ayton, Jae Crowder, Abdel Nader and Elfrid Payton.
