Pistons coach Dwane Casey has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the team announced in a release.
Nearly half the league’s 30 coaches have now entered protocols since about the start of December. All of the league’s coaches have been vaccinated, per reports.
Casey and the Pistons are having a rough go of it again this season, starting 8-30 through Sunday’s games after the franchise has won just 20 in each of the past two seasons.
Assistant Rex Kalamian will assume the acting head coaching duties in Casey’s absence.
