I again joined the Mark Price For 3 Podcast to discuss the latest on the Cavaliers and their approach to the season — from their lack of offseason changes to possible needs entering training camp and beyond.
You can give it a listen here on Apple Podcasts, here on Spotify or in the player directly below.
This marked my fifth stop on Mark’s podcast and I couldn’t be more honored. It’s not often a former NBA All-Star invites an alleged writer such as myself on their pod.
Anyway, as for the Cavaliers, there actually is plenty to discuss when it comes to the roster. Namely, they haven’t done anything beyond signing a couple of guys to two-way deals. Oh, and hired a new coach (Kenny Atkinson) and made a draft pick (Jaylon Tyson).
For the record, I’m OK with all of that. Bring in a new coach, a new system, with the same core, and see how it goes. You have plenty of time to make moves during the actual season. There was no need to gut the team.
As we discussed on the podcast, though, the Cavs do have some needs. Mark, the Cavaliers legend, gave his take. So did Aaron Conrad, the gracious host. As did I — though as I was quick to add, I don’t think the Cavs will be able to fill that need before the season.
Anyway, give it a listen and let us know what you think. And follow Mark and Aaron for updates on future pods. I will also have some announcements about my own Cavs coverage this season. It will be more comprehensive than ever here at Hoops Wire, and as I make my return to television. Stay tuned.
