The Grizzlies are bringing back shooting guard Dakota Mathias on a 10-day contract via the hardship exception, the team announced in a press release.
Mathias, 26, is 6-foot-4 and appeared in four games with the Grizzlies on a similar deal earlier this month. He scored six points vs. the Pistons on Jan. 6.
Along with the Grizzlies, he appeared in eight games with the 76ers last season, averaging 6.0 points and 1.6 assists. He went undrafted out of Purdue in 2018 and played his first season professionally with Spanish club Joventut.
Mathias has also played for the Texas Legends of the G League, where he was when the Grizzlies decided to give him another deal.
