Pacers Signing Former UConn Standout To Camp Deal

The Pacers are signing former UConn forward Tyler Polley to an Exhibit 10 contract for training camp, agents BJ Bass and Cam Brennick told Ian Begley of SNY.tv.Tyler Polley, Pacers, NBA

Polley, 25, is 6-foot-9 and played for the Huskies for five seasons, before going undrafted in 2022. He spent the past two seasons playing professionally in Greece, averaging 9.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 21 games with Kolossos last season.

Indiana has 19 players on their preseason roster. The league limit is 21, so they won’t need to make another move. Along with Polley, the Pacers are bringing Keisei Tominaga and Josiah-Jordan James to camp on camp contracts. Basically, all three of those players are likely headed to the Indiana Mad Ants of the G League.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed minimum-salary deal. It doesn’t count toward a team’s cap unless the player makes the final roster. It also can be converted to a two-way deal before the season begins or mean guaranteed money if a player is waived and then stays on the G League club for at least 60 days.

After two pro seasons in Greece, Polley recently competed in NBA Showcase workout in Las Vegas, where Indiana and New York were among teams who watched him,” Begley wrote.

Indiana is coming off a run to the Eastern Conference finals, before being swept by the eventual-champion Celtics.
