Jazz Signing Isaiah Wong To Camp Deal

The Jazz intend to sign shooting guard Isaiah Wong to an Exhibit 10 contract for training camp, agent Darrel Comer told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.Isaiah Wong, NBA, Pacers

Wong, 23, is a former No. 55 overall draft pick who spent last season with the Pacers on a two-way deal. He was among those who played in the G League Invitational tournament earlier this month.

The Jazz will have to make another move before Wong officially signs, as the preseason roster is at the league limit of 21.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed minimum-salary deal. It doesn’t count toward a team’s cap unless the player makes the final roster. It also can be converted to a two-way deal before the season begins or mean guaranteed money if a player is waived and then stays on the G League club for at least 60 days.

Utah also recently signed forward Keshawn Justice to a camp contract.

Justice, 24, is 6-foot-7 and spent last season with the Salt Lake City Stars of the G League, averaging 8.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 31 games. He also shot 39% on 3-pointers, so it makes sense for Utah to take a longer look.
