The Nets have reached an agreement with forward Paul Millsap to seek a trade, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Millsap, 36, is 6-foot-7 and has been used sparingly this season, appearing in 24 games and averaging 3.4 points and 3.7 rebounds.
The Nets could waive Millsap if they’re unable to find a trade partner before the Feb. 10 deadline to make a deal.
Even with Kevin Durant injured, Millsap either fell behind or had to share time with the likes of LaMarcus Aldridge, Kessler Edwards, James Johnson, and even Blake Griffin on the depth chart.
At this point, it wouldn’t seem there are many teams that would have an interest in Millsap, who’s in his first season in Brooklyn on a veteran’s minimum deal. That said, the Nets may be able to garner a second-round pick in return.
