The Bucks released a statement about the NBA’s suspension of shooting guard Grayson Allen for a game following his flagrant 2 foul vs. Bulls guard Alex Caruso, with Milwaukee saying it disagrees with the decision.
Allen will serve his suspension during Wednesday’s road game vs. the Cavaliers.
“We disagree with the suspension,” the Bucks’ statement read. “We support Grayson and look forward to him rejoining our team for Friday’s game vs. New York.”
The incident occurred in the third quarter of the Bucks’ 94-90 home win on Saturday. Caruso suffered a fractured wrist as a result of the play. The injury will require surgery and is expected to sideline Caruso for six-to-eight weeks.

“Dude just grabbed me out of the air,” Caruso told reporters. “It’s kind of bulls—. I don’t know what else you can do about it. I’m just glad that I didn’t have any major scary injuries right away.”
Caruso’s agent, Greg Lawrence, called the play a “cheap shot” in a statement to ESPN.
“I expect the league will take into consideration not only what was a dangerous, unnecessary, and dirty play on Alex Caruso that caused this significant injury, but also the offending players’ own history,” Lawrence told ESPN. “This was a cheap shot on an airborne, defenseless player that resulted in a broken bone that will need to be surgically repaired and will cause Alex to miss at least two months of the season.”
