The Pacers have signed guard/forward Lance Stephenson to a fourth 10-day contract, the announced in a press release.
Stephenson, 31, is 6-foot-6 and was signed to two hardship deals, followed by a standard 10-day deal. This marks his second standard 10-day, and the Pacers will soon have to decide whether to keep him for the season.
So far, he has appeared in 11 games with Indiana and is averaging 9.5 points and 3.6 rebounds. He also appeared in six games with the Hawks earlier this season, making this his fifth 10-day deal of 2021-22.
“While several players have signed three 10-day deals with the same club so far this season, Stephenson is the first to get a fourth,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “He signed hardship contracts on January 1 and January 11, then completed a new standard 10-day deal on January 14 so that he could remain active when the Pacers no longer had any players in the health and safety protocols — that contract expired on Sunday night.”
