Raptors Looking To Move Chris Boucher?

Chris Boucher‘s time with the Toronto Raptors could be coming to an end, as the 32-year-old forward is in the final year of his contract and likely doesn’t fit into the team’s long-term rebuilding plans. According to NBA reporter Eric Koreen of The Athletic, these factors make Boucher a strong candidate to be moved before the trade deadline.Chris Boucher, Raptors, NBA

While his future in Toronto is uncertain, he’s certainly making the most of his opportunity in the meantime.

In his recent stretch of games, Boucher has shown his value, averaging 18.3 points in 22.9 minutes per game over his last three outings.

As detailed by Koreen and Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca, Boucher played a pivotal role in the Raptors’ victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday, contributing 17 points in the fourth quarter alone to help secure the win.

His scoring burst late in the game highlighted his ability to make an impact when needed, and it’s that kind of performance that will make him an attractive trade asset for contenders looking to bolster their frontcourt depth.

Although Boucher has been a reliable contributor for the Raptors, his expiring contract and the team’s shift toward youth development may push them to explore trade opportunities while his value remains high.

Whether or not he’s moved, Boucher is showing that he can still be a key contributor, and that’s sure to attract interest from teams around the league in need of a versatile scoring big.

“Boucher has been on a heater lately, and Raptors fans have to feel good for him. He is in the final season of his three-year deal, and this one will almost certainly be his last one in Toronto. He turned 32 on Saturday, and the Raptors are in a rebuild,” Koreen wrote. “Organizationally, it doesn’t make sense to invest more time into him. Whether he gets traded at the deadline or finishes the year with the Raptors, that will likely be it.”
