The Pelicans are signing shooting guard Tyrone Wallace to a second 10-day contract, the team announced in a press release.
His first 10-day deal with the Pelicans expired after Sunday’s game vs. Hawks, but his solid play clearly has earned him an extended opportunity.
Entering Monday, Wallace has averaged 4.3 points and 1.8 rebounds in four appearances.
Wallace, 27, is 6-foot-5 and was the final pick of the 2016 NBA Draft. As ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski noted, he really erupted in the G League lately, averaging 27 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists in his last 11 games with the Long Island Nets.
