Lakers Officially Sign Mac McLung To Two-Way Deal

The Lakers have signed guard Mac McClung to a two-way contract, the team announced in a press release.

McClung, 23, is 6-foot-2 and went undrafted last summer after three college seasons. He spent most to the year with the G League’s South Bay Lakers, though he did appear in one game with the Bulls after signing a hardship deal in December.

The Lakers signed McClung in August but waived him shortly before the regular season. That happened after he played for their summer-league team.

With South Bay, McClung averaged 21.1 points, 7.5 assists and 6.9 rebounds in 33 games. He also played two games for the Windy City Bulls.

The Lakers created a roster spot earlier in the week when they waived veteran forward Trevor Ariza. They also promoted forward/center Wenyen Gabriel to a standard contract.
