The Trail Blazers have signed undrafted LSU forward Trendon Watford to a two-way contract, per president of basketball operations Neil Olshey.
Watford, 20, averaged 16.3 points and 7.4 rebounds last season as a sophomore, earning first-team All-SEC honors in the process.
He erupted for 30 points in the SEC championship game vs. Alabama, then compiled averages of 11.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two NCAA Tournament games.
The Blazers are one of just two teams (the Suns being the other) without an affiliate in the G League, where Watford is likely to spend much of his time durimg his first NBA season.
