The Clippers are re-signing shooting guard Amir Coffey on a three-year, $11MM contract, agents Bill Duffy and Marlon Harrison told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Coffey, 25, is coming a breakout season in his third year, averaging 9.0 points on 45 percent shooting in 69 games.
He joins center Ivica Zubac (post) and forward Nic Batum (post) as Clippers who entered free agency, only to return and keep things intact. The Clippers are also expected to sign point guard John Wall, as we relayed here.
That said, they are losing backup center Isaiah Hartenstein to the Knicks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Along with everything else, the Clippers very much could be among the team involved in the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, according to Mirjam Swanson of the Orange County Register. Durant has requested a trade from the Nets.
