Edwards, Doncic and Gilgeous-Alexander are in the MVP conversation this season.

Once LeBron James retires, the NBA will need a new face of the NBA. Since Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are both 35, both legends are close to the end of their careers, opening a window for Edwards, Doncic or Gilgeous-Alexander to be the next face of the NBA.

Edwards is averaging 26.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.5 blocks for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season while shooting 46.8% from the field, 38.4% from beyond the arc and 83.8% from the free-throw line. He’s ninth in the NBA in total points and 12th in points per game.

Doncic is averaging 34.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.6 blocks for the Dallas Mavericks while shooting 49.2% from the floor, 37.9% from 3 and 78.0% from the foul line. He’s third in total points and first in points per game.

Finally, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks for the Oklahoma City Thunder while shooting 54.8% overall, 37.5% from deep and 88.3% from the free-throw line. He’s first in total points, second in points per game, first in total steals and first in steals per game.

The Timberwolves have the best record in the Western Conference at 39-17. The Thunder are in second place at 39-17, while the Mavericks are in sixth place at 33-23.
