Blazers expected to evaluate coaching situation under new ownership

The Trail Blazers could be among the teams exploring a coaching change this offseason, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

New owner Tom Dundon is evaluating the team’s coaching situation as he determines the future of interim head coach Tiago Splitter.

Splitter took over at the start of the season following the arrest of former head coach Chauncey Billups.

Stein notes there is an expectation of increased coaching movement league-wide this summer, which could impact Portland’s decision.

As a result, Splitter is among the coaches whose status remains uncertain heading into the offseason.
