Trail Blazers rookie point guard Scoot Henderson will miss at least two more weeks with a bone bruise in his right ankle, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Henderson was selected with the No. 3 overall draft pick this past summer. He hasn’t played since Nov. 1, appearing in just five games — and averaging 8.8 points and 4.6 assists, shooting 35 percent from the field.
Portland has experienced a wide array of injuries in the early season, with center Robert Williams being ruled out for the year following knee surgery, as we relayed here.
Also, standout guard Anfernee Simons is out at least another four-to-five weeks with a thumb injury suffered in the season-opener. Simons underwent surgery on the thumb.
