The Trail Blazers have waived forward/center Devontae Cacok, guard/forward Wes Iwundu and point guard Brandon Williams, GM Joe Cronin announced in a press release.
Cacok, 25, is 6-foot-7 and appeared in 15 games with the Spurs last season. He spent the first two years of his career with the Lakers, playing 21 games in LA. He was also signed and waived by the Nets in training camp last October and has spent time in the G League.
Cacok played in two preseason games for the Blazers, averaging 3.0 points and 3.5 rebounds.
Iwundu, 26, is 6-6 and was acquired by the Hornets prior to the start of last season in an August trade with the Pelicans. He split time between the Pelicans and Mavericks in 2020-21, appearing in a total of 41 games and averaging just more than 2 points.
He has also spent time with the Magic and in the G League after being selected in the second round (No. 33 overall) of the 2017 draft out of Kansas State.
Iwundu totaled five points and three rebounds in one preseason game with the Blazers.
Williams, 22, is 6-2 and has been standing out for the Westchester Knicks in his first G League season, averaging 22.3 points and 6.1 assists in 21 appearances. The Los Angeles native spent one season playing college ball at Arizona.
In three preseason appearances with the Blazers, Williams averaged 8.0 points and 2.3 assists and 1.00 steal in 15.8 minutes per game. He originally signed a two-way contract with Portland on Feb. 22.
