Star shooting guard Bradley Beal is out for the season with a wrist injury, but if what he says is true, then he should be back with the Wizards next season.
Beal has a player option worth $36 million for 2022-23 at the end of the season. AS relayed by Josh Robbins of The Athletic, when asked if he is leaning toward re-signing with the Wizards, Beal responded “that’s fair” to say.

He will be eligible for a five-year, maximum-salary deal worth at least $245 million as a free agent this summer.
This isn’t the first time Beal has made it sound as if he intends to stay in Washington for the long-term. Still, you can never be sure until his name is signed on the contract.
Beal, 28, had to undergo surgery on his wrist last month., He suffered the injury in a game against the Grizzlies in January.
His scoring averaging dipped by eight points from last season, but he still led the Wizards in scoring 23.2 points at the time of the injury, and was also averaging 6.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.
Since then, the Wizards have made a few deals, including the acquisition of forward Kristaps Porzingis, who is expected to make his Washington debut soon.
