The Bucks are signing forward/center Johnny O’Bryant to a training camp contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
O’Bryant, 28, is 6-foot-9 and actually played for the Bucks from 2014-16, before serving stints with the Nuggets and Hornets, as well as the G League.
He has played overseas since 2018-19, most recently with Turkish club Telekom. He has also spent time in Serbia, Russia and Israel.
O’Bryant will now compete for a roster spot with the Bucks.
“However, rookie Georgios Kalaitzakis has a partial guarantee, which probably gives him a leg up to be the 14th man, and the Bucks may not carry a 15th player at the start of the season due to tax concerns,” noted Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
