The Bucks are expected to sign guard/forward DeAndre’ Bembry for the remainder of the season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Bembry was released by the Nets last week as part of the James Harden–Ben Simmons trade. Along with Simmons, that deal also sent Andre Drummond and Seth Curry to Brooklyn, forcing the Nets to clear some roster space.
Bembry, 27, appeared in 48 games with the Nets, averaging 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. His strong defensive play earned him a partially guaranteed contract in Brooklyn. Without a doubt, he was sure to draw interest after clearing waivers.
Adding Bembry will give the Bucks 13 players, as well as two players on two-way deals. So the reigning champs could still add more veterans.
Once the signing becomes official, the Bucks will be up to 13 players on their roster, plus a pair of two-way deals.
