The Bucks have emerged as frontrunners to sign free agent point guard Goran Dragic, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Dragic, 36, cleared waivers after being released by the Bulls earlier this week. Per Wojnarowski, he could land with Milwaukee as soon as Friday.
Dragic has appeared in 51 games this season, his first with Chicago, averaging 6.4 points and 2.7 assists. He shot 43 percent from the field and 35 percent on 3-pointers.
The Bulls recently signed guard Patrick Beverley, a move that immediately cut into Dragic’s opportunities.
Dragic has also spent time with the Nets, Heat, Raptors, Rockets, and Suns since entering the NBA in 2008.
“The Bucks believe Dragic’s tough-minded leadership and abilities can help them off the bench in their championship pursuit,” Wojnarowski wrote.
