Bucks small forward Khris Middleton has cleared health and safety protocols and is set to return for Wednesday’s home game vs. the Lakers, according to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Middleton has been in the protocols since testing positive for COVID-19 at the beginning of the month. He will be a welcome addition for the defending champs, who are off to a 6-8 start and could use the boost.
Middleton, 30, is 6-foot-7 and is averaging 20.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in his six appearances this season. He rejoined the Bucks for practice on Tuesday.
Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said Middleton would be worked back slowly and be under a minutes restriction upon his return. He last played in a game Oct. 30 before spending the minimum 10 days in the protocol.
