Former Lakers coach Frank Vogel is likely to interview for the Bucks’ coaching vacancy this week, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Vogel, 49, did not coach anywhere year after being fired by the Lakers following the 2021-22 season.
Milwaukee is casting a wide net after firing coach Mike Budenholzer at the conclusion of this season, when the Bucks were eliminated by the Heat in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. That despite owning the NBA’s best record at 54-28.
Other reported candidates include ex-Suns coach Monty Williams, former Raptors coach Nick Nurse, Bucks assistant Charles Lee and ESPN analyst Mark Jackson, who coached the Warriors from 2011-14.
Vogel spent three years with the Lakers, coaching them during the 2020 championship season in the Disney Bubble. He has also served as head coach of the Magic and Pacers, compiling a regular-season record of 431-389 in 11 seasons overall.
