The Bucks are signing guard Javonte Smart to a two-way contract and waiving point guard Justin Robinson, as relayed by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The moves following Milwaukee adding veteran center DeMarcus Cousins on a one-year deal, as we posted here on Hoops Wire.
Smart, 22, is 6-foot-4 and had been playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League after going undrafted out of LSU this past summer.
He was signed by the Heat, but waived before the season. Sioux Falls is the Heat’s G League affiliate. Smart fared well in three games, compiling averages of 22.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists, showing an ability to play either guard position.
Robinson, 24, is 6-1 and in his third NBA season. He actually had some nice moments for the Bucks while appearing in 17 games and averaging 2.8 points and 1.2 assists.
He has also served stints with the Wizards and Thunder since 2019, playing nine games for each.
