The Bucks intend to waive guard/forward DeAndre’ Bembry to create an available roster spot, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Bembry, 27, is 6-foot-5 and underwent knee surgery in March and will miss the rest of the season. He appeared in eight games with the Bucks after being waived by the Nets on Feb. 10, in order to make room on Brooklyn’s roster after the trade for Ben Simmons.
For the season, Bembry has played 56 games and is averaging 5.1 points and 2.9 rebounds. His strong defensive play actually earned him a partially guaranteed contract in Brooklyn.
He has also spent time with the Hawks and Raptors, appearing in 296 games overall and averaging 5.9 points for his career.
