Coby White is emerging as the Bulls’ most likely trade chip as the deadline approaches.

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, White, Ayo Dosunmu, and Tre Jones have all drawn interest, but White is viewed by league sources as the best bet to be moved. Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times echoes that White is the name coming up most frequently in internal and external discussions.

Meanwhile, there are signals the Bulls would prefer to keep Dosunmu long term. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports Chicago is more inclined to extend Dosunmu than White, a dynamic shaped by both money and fit.

Both guards are headed toward unrestricted free agency, but White is expected to command the larger payday after previously passing on a four-year extension worth roughly $87 million.

While Chicago has the cap flexibility and Bird rights to go higher, committing big money to White becomes trickier after last summer’s four-year, $100 million deal for Josh Giddey.

Dosunmu is seen as the more natural complement next to Giddey, while White thrives with the ball in his hands.

The Timberwolves remain a recurring suitor, per Fischer, though Minnesota is cautious about paying real value for a potential rental.

The Rockets and Clippers have also been linked to White, with Houston’s young talent drawing exploratory interest from Chicago.
