The Bulls are expressing interest in free agent guard/forward James Ennis, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Ennis, 31, is 6-foot-6 and averaged 8.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in 41 games with the Magic last season. He is also drawing interest from several contenders, Scotto reported.
Ennis signed with the Magic in November, becoming an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Orlando is undergoing a youth movement, leaving Ennis with reason to try to find a better match.
The Bulls recently traded forward Lauri Markkanen to the Cavaliers in a three-team deal that also involved the Trail Blazers. Chicago received guard/forward Derrick Jones Jr. from Portland as part of the trade, but may still be looking for veteran help at the wing positions.
Ennis has also spent time with the 76ers, Pistons, Pelicans, Heat and served two stints with the Grizzlies.
