Bulls Continue To Be Viewed As Major Sellers Before Trade Deadline

When it comes to potential sellers as the NBA trade season heats up, the Chicago Bulls are front and center.NBA, Zach LaVine, Bulls, Nikola Vucevic, DeMar DeRozan

This isn’t just speculation — there’s a growing buzz around the league that Chicago is positioning itself for at least one major move ahead of the February 6 trade deadline, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Per Stein, confidence is building within the Bulls’ organization that they’ll be able to pull off a significant deal to reshape the roster.

Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and Lonzo Ball have all reportedly been made available. Of the three, Ball’s $21.4 million expiring contract may be the most enticing to teams looking for financial flexibility.

That said, Vucevic is far from an afterthought. The 34-year-old big man, a two-time All-Star, has elevated his game this season, reminding everyone why he was such a coveted piece when Chicago acquired him back in 2021.

Vucevic’s offseason dedication appears to be paying dividends. Coming off a season where his shooting percentages took a hit, he told Stein back in late August that he put in extensive work to refine his shot.

“I wanted to make sure I was back to being the player I know I can be,” he said at the time.

And the results are showing. Vucevic has looked sharp, displaying the type of shooting touch and versatility that could make him an intriguing addition for a contender looking to add frontcourt scoring and rebounding.

As for LaVine, the high-flying guard remains a polarizing figure in trade discussions. Teams love his scoring ability, but his hefty contract could limit potential suitors.

Regardless, the Bulls are a team to watch in the coming weeks, as they seek to pivot from a core that hasn’t quite lived up to expectations.
