Bulls center Nikola Vucevic is headed for unrestricted free agency and said he intends to test the market, via Jamal Collier of ESPN.
He added that Chicago is where he hopes to be, though.
“The Bulls will have priority. I’d like to stay here,” Vucevic said. “But that’s on the front office to decide and work with my agent.”
Vucevic, 32, appeared in all 82 games and averaged 17.6 points and 9.1 rebounds — his exact averages in each category from the previous season. This past year he also matched his career-high with 52 percent shooting.
The Bulls finished with the 10th-best record in the Eastern Conference and were eliminated by the Heat in the play-in tournament.
After playing for the 76ers as a rookie, Vucevic spent eight years with the Magic. He has been an All-Star three times.
