The Bulls have signed undrafted Connecticut center Adama Sanogo to a two-way contract, the team announced in a press release.
Sanogo is 6-foot-9 and is fresh off winning an NCAA championship with the Huskies. Along the way, he averaged 17.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and nearly one block per game — and was mentioned Most Outstanding Player at the Final Four.
While he was an efficient scorer near the basket in college, questions remain about how well he’ll be able to defend taller players in the paint as a pro.
This is the first year teams are permitted to sign three two-way players, opening the door for promising prospects such as Sanogo.
