The Bulls are waiving forward Stanley Johnson and intend to keep forward Alize Johnson, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic.
Stanley Johnson, 25, appeared in 61 games with the Raptors last season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds and making a name for himself with defense. He was originally drafted by the Pistons with the No. 8 overall pick in 2015.
Alize Johnson, 25, is 6-7 and was originally drafted by the Pacers in the second round (No. 50 overall) in 2018. He has appeared in 49 career games with the Pacers and Nets, and carries averages of 2.9 points and 3.2 rebounds.
A strong preseason showing is among the reasons Chicago decided to keep Alize Johnson, Mayberry noted.
