Under first-year head coach Kenny Atkinson, the Cavaliers are 41-10 on the season. They have the second-best record in the NBA.

Cleveland is expected to start Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Hunter, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Garland, Mitchell and Mobley made the All-Star team this year.

The Cavaliers lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 2024 playoffs. They look like title contenders this season in Atkinson’s system and now their offense will be even more explosive with Hunter in the mix.

In his final game with the Hawks, Hunter put up 22 points and 10 rebounds against the San Antonio Spurs.
