Cavs’ City Uniforms Inspired By Cleveland Museum Of Art, Feature Coloring Book Pattern

The Cavaliers revealed their new City Edition uniforms, and fans of the North Carolina Tar Heels will certainly appreciate them. Mostly, so should fans of the Cavaliers and the Cleveland Museum of Art.Cavaliers, Cavs, NBA, City Edition uniforms

That’s because the powder blue-ish unis were inspired by the architectural design of the west wing of the Cleveland Museum of Art. The side panels of the design are also very cool, revealing a coloring book-style pattern complete with team artwork, city motifs and symbols.

The Cavs, who currently sit at 13-0, will first wear the uniform for Sunday’s home game against the Charlotte Hornets, who just happen to be teal. So it will be a see of off-blue for that one.

They’ll also wear them Dec. 5 (Denver Nuggets), Dec. 23 (Utah Jazz), Jan. 12 (Indiana Pacers), March 5 (Miami Heat) and March 27 (San Antonio Spurs).

Of course, along with the uniforms, the Cavs will be breaking out a City Edition court to match the theme.

“The City Edition court incorporates the same torn-away coloring book pattern as the uniform,” the team wrote in a press release. “The left side of the hardwood floor is accented in light blue and the right side in a darker blue. At halfcourt, ‘The Land’ Logo is displayed, complementing the design on the chest of the uniform.”

The Cavs host the Chicago Bulls on Friday before breaking out the unis and court vs. the Hornets. They are one of just six teams in NBA history to have started 13-0.
