It’s Cavaliers basketball and the moment you’ve all been waiting for — a home game. It starts with ex-coach J.B. Bickerstaff and his Pistons.
But what about the Cavs themselves, and new coach Kenny Atkinson? Well, so far, so great after one game. I’ve covered that extensively already. As for the long season ahead and what else to watch for … well, I talk about that a lot too on the latest Hoops Wire Live from 330 to Go. Watch it in its entirety directly below.
Since I’m trying to direct you to the show above, I won’t spend too much time talking about the Cavaliers here. (You can also check out my Pregame Dribbles for more.)
Basically, the Cavs still have 81 games to go at this writing, so this is a marathon. They won’t be done until April. And that’s just the regular season. They are predicted to be playing into May, and hey, if all goes well, into June.
Yes, I’m way ahead of myself here. Frankly, so much of everything comes down to who’s the healthiest when it means the most — not just for the Cavaliers, but for everyone else who is aiming to be a contender.
That said, if everything stays the same, and the Cavs can avoid major injuries, they should be in the mix. Why do I think that? Well, again, you’ll have to watch the show. I also talk extensively about what NBA players often think and feel when there’s a new coach in town.
So be sure to check it out and leave your feedback in the comments section below, or just send me an email. As I always say about my Cavs coverage, it’s not a lecture. It’s a discussion. Right? Right. Talk to you soon.
