The Cavaliers have signed rookie guard Zeke Mayo to an Exhibit 10 contract, his agency announced.
Mayo, an undrafted prospect out of Kansas, appeared for the Wizards during Summer League after transferring from South Dakota State. He averaged 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists in his lone season with the Jayhawks, shooting 42.2% from three and scoring 18 points in an NCAA Tournament loss to Arkansas.
Before his stint in Lawrence, Mayo starred at South Dakota State, where he was named the 2024 Summit League Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-4 guard is expected to be waived and join the Cleveland Charge, the Cavs’ G League affiliate. If he remains with the Charge for at least 60 days, he’ll be eligible for a bonus worth up to $85,300 under the Exhibit 10 terms.
