According to NBA reporter Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, the Cleveland Cavaliers would have to be “blown away” to trade Darius Garland or Jarrett Allen

The Cavaliers intend to run it back with Garland, Allen, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley

Mitchell is expected to sign an extension with the Cavaliers this offseason, multiple NBA sources told Hoops Wire.

“I think they’d have to be blown away for them to consider it (moving Garland and Allen) on both fronts,” Fedor said on The HoopsHype podcast with Michael Scotto. “They’ve gotten offers in the past for Allen specifically. Teams have been poking around on Allen for the last couple of years. There has been interest in Garland. I think there are teams that make sense for Darius who could use him. San Antonio comes to mind certainly, but if they’re not going to give the Cavaliers either Victor Wembanyama or Devin Vassell, what are the Spurs going to offer the Cavaliers that Cleveland would be willing to say yes to?”

Allen, who has two years and $40 million left on his contract, averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.1 blocks this season while shooting 63.4% from the field and 74.2% from the free-throw line.

Meanwhile, Garland averaged 18.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 44.6% from the field, 37.1% from beyond the arc and 83.4% from the free-throw line. He’ll make $36.7 million next season.

“The front office likes this roster and believes in the core four of Mitchell, Garland, Mobley, and Allen, and they don’t feel like they need to break up those guys,” Fedor said.

The Cavaliers defeated the Orlando Magic in the first round of this year’s postseason in seven games but lost to the Boston Celtics in the second round in five games.

The New Orleans Pelicans are interested in acquiring Garland and Allen, while the San Antonio Spurs have been linked to Garland.

However, it appears both players will be staying in Cleveland.

“Cleveland has continued to tell teams they’re not trying to move Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, league sources told HoopsHype,” Scotto reported. “Koby Altman talked about the plus/minus ratings with those guys. They still think Darius is an All-Star-caliber player. He’s young and under contract for the next four years. It would really take a lot for them to move him.”
