Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell is more than just an Eastern Conference All-Star. He also hopes to earn the title of 3-Point Champion.
Mitchell will get the opportunity, as he will be among the participants in the 3-point contest at NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis from Feb. 16-18, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Mitchell, 27, is shooting 35 percent on threes this season, down from his career-high 39 percent from last year. But he has star power and often knocks them down when they matter.
Along with that, he entered Monday’s home game against the Sacramento Kings by averaging 28.2 points — which is basically the same as his 28.3 points last season.
Cleveland entered Monday night at 31-16, having won 13 of 14 and five straight.
