The Cavaliers are expected to sign undrafted shooting guard Mitch Ballock to a training camp contract, according to JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
Ballock, 23, is 6-foot-5 and spent all four seasons playing at Creighton. He averaged 9.9 points and 3.3 rebounds as a senior last year, then joined the 76ers for summer league.
The Cavs recently have been adding some players who are long shots to make the final roster, but very well could end up with their G League affiliate, getting an opportunity to become an NBA diamond in the rough.
Along with the expected Ballock signing, the Cavs recently added center Tacko Fall and small forward Tre Scott. Both of those moves are official, per the NBA’s transactions log.
All three of the aforementioned players will have uphill climbs to make the final roster, but will be eligible to earn a bonus of up to $50,000 if they join the Cleveland Charge for at least 60 days.
