The Cavaliers have officially signed guard/forward Denzel Valentine, according to the NBA transactions log, via Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.
Valentine, 27, is 6-foot-4 and spent each of his first four seasons with the Bulls. He appeared in 62 games last season, averaging 6.5 points and 3.2 rebounds.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Valentine’s deal with Cleveland is for two years and partially guaranteed.
He is expected wing depth behind the likes of Collin Sexton and Isaac Okoro, and will battle for playing time with the likes of Cedi Osman and Dylan Windler.
“Despite lukewarm career averages from Valentine (7.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists), Cavs fans have some hope to draw from the sharpshooting guard,” wrote our Alejandro Avila. “Valentine’s ability to stretch out the court as a viable wing shooter adds plenty of stock off the bench.”
