The Cavaliers have signed center Moses Brown to a second 10-day contract, the team announced in a press release.
Brown was originally signed earlier this month to help fill the void left by injured All-Star Jarrett Allen. In four appearances, Brown is averaging 2.8 points and 2.0 rebounds. His original deal expired after Saturday’s win over the Pistons.
Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Allen is hoping to return from a broken finger on his non-shooting hand within the next three weeks. The playoffs start in four.
In the meantime, it will be up to the likes of rookie Evan Mobley, Lauri Markkanen, Kevin Love and to a smaller degree, Brown, to help man the middle.
The Cavs play five games in the next 10 days, starting with Monday’s matchup vs. the Lakers.
