The Cavaliers have officially signed and waived guard Darius Brown II, according to the NBA’s transaction log — a procedural move that all but guarantees his return to the G League’s Cleveland Charge.
Brown spent last season with the Charge, averaging 7.8 points, 4.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals across 44 games.
The 6-foot-2 point guard was a steady hand in the backcourt and one of the Charge’s better perimeter defenders.
The move is expected to result in Brown rejoining the Charge once again, this time with a built-in Exhibit 10 bonus worth up to $85,300 if he spends at least 60 days on the G League roster.
Brown went undrafted out of Utah State in 2024 and briefly joined the Cavs on a camp deal last fall before being waived.
