The Cavaliers have agreed to a two-way contract with undrafted Wichita State guard Craig Porter Jr., per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.
Porter is 6-foot-2 and 13.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists last season. He received very little buzz prior to the draft — but worked out for nine teams leading up to it.
He is likely to suit up for the Cavs during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas next month (July 7-17).
All two-way players are eligible to appear in up to 50 NBA games, while spending the rest of their time in the G League. So Porter is expected to see some time with the Charge.
By rule, NBA teams are eligible to carry three two-way players these days. That’s one more than usual.
Porter is represented by agent Ryan Straining.
