The Cavaliers have waived guard/forward Chandler Vaudrin, as relayed by JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors.
He signed a training camp contract earlier this month, and very likely could be headed to the Cleveland Charge of the G League.
Vaudrin, 25, is a 6-foot-7 point guard. He began his college career at Walsh University in Canton (also nicknamed the Cavaliers), before transferring to Winthrop, where he was eventually named Big South Player of the Year. He attended high school at Uniontown Lake near Canton.
He actually signed a deal with the Cavs on July 29, 2021, to play for their Summer League team — but suffered a torn ACL in a summer game vs. the Pelicans.
The Cavs’ camp roster now stands at 20, the maximum allowed.
