Celtics center Al Horford will in fact play in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals vs. the Heat, as relayed by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Horford entered the health and safety protocols shortly before Game 1, in which the Heat won. He was originally expected to be out for Game 2 as well, but was upgraded to questionable earlier in the day.
Along with Horford, guard Marcus Smart missed Game 1 with a foot injury, but should return for Game 2 on Thursday. Smart is listed as probable.
Meanwhile, as we relayed earlier, Celtics guard Derrick White will miss Game 2 for personal reasons. Heat guard Kyle Lowry also remains out with a hamstring issue.
