The Celtics have signed forward Justin Champagnie for the remainder of the season and playoffs, the team announced in a press release.
Champagnie, 21, is 6-foot-6 and had been playing for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League, putting up averages of 18.2 points and 8.0 rebounds.
He appeared in three games with the Raptors this season after signing a non-guarantee two-year deal over the summer. This after playing 36 games with the Raptors last season as a rookie.
Champagnie, the twin brother of Spurs forward Julian Champagnie, carries NBA career averages of 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds.
As a collegian, he became the only player in Pitt history to lead the team in scoring as both a freshman and sophomore. He then signed a two-way deal with Toronto in the summer of 2021.
