Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens headed to Belgrade to take in the Partizan NIS Belgrade vs Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana game, as relayed by EuroHoops.
Stevens was presumably there to focus mostly on Israeli guard Yam Madar, selected by the Celtics in the second round of 2020 NBA Draft. He played for the Celtics in the most recent NBA summer league before returning to Europe.
“(Madar) joined Partizan this season after a three-year stint with Hapoel Tel Aviv, and so far he posts averages of 6.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists across 10 ABA League games, while his numbers go up to 7.4 points, 3.2 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 5 7DAYS EuroCup games,” EuroHoops wrote.
Stevens is in his first season as president of the Celtics, having replaced Danny Ainge after last season.
