Report: Celtics Open To Listening To Trade Offers For Anyone Except Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown

According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, the Boston Celtics are open to listening to trade offers for anyone except Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The Celtics would like to keep Derrick White and Payton Pritchard as well.

“Boston is believed to be open to listening to any player on its roster not named Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown,” Fischer wrote. “I’d put Payton Pritchard and Derrick White right behind those two franchise cornerstones as extremely hard-to-get as well.”

The Celtics have to make trades this offseason to avoid having the most expensive roster in the NBA next season. Tatum is expected to miss all of next season recovering from his right Achilles tendon tear.

Boston won the 2024 championship against the Dallas Mavericks in five games but lost to the New York Knicks in this year’s conference semifinals in six games. Tatum tore his right Achilles tendon in Game 4 of the Knicks series.

The Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers are interested in trading for Jrue Holiday, who will make $32,400,000 next season.

Kristaps Porzingis will make $30,731,707 next season in the final year of his contract. He’s widely expected to be traded this offseason.

Brown, who won the 2024 Finals MVP Award, will make $53,142,264 next season, while Tatum will make $54,126,450 in 2025-26.

The Celtics, who were sold for $6 billion, are a second apron team. A group led by Bill Chisholm, managing partner at Symphony Technology Group, agreed to purchase the Boston franchise.
